Hello, this is me! Thanks to my better half, this image was taken at a very special place in the north of Munich.
The new museum building designed by architect Santiago Calatrava was opened on May 4, 2001.
What are you currently doing and how did you get there?
I currently live in Strasbourg and work at a German agency, creating print products and designing whatever is needed digitally (business cards, flyers, whitepaper, animated Social Media content, webpages, photo edits, graphics, and many more).
After regular school, I decided to participate in technical secondary school, but quickly realized I am better off with an apprenticeship in something I enjoy. Luckily, I made the perfect choice with media design because it's very versatile and constructive. Later on, I discovered my passion for cameras and drones, so I combined my learned job skills (editing) with my hobby. Now I can integrate my hobby into my workflow.
What programs are you using?
I use Lightroom for RAW photo editing and optimization. Photoshop is my go-to for image retouching and other deeper editing tasks. In addition, I am working with AI-based software Luminar Neo to get the maximum quality and resolution after processing. I am able to use Adobe Illustrator and InDesign for Media Design work. For video content, I am using After Effects in combination with Adobe Media Encoder. I am currently trying to learn DaVinci Resolve.
I made my first experience with Adobe XD, and I am able to design webpages. Currently, I am also getting used to WordPress. Kontentino is by far my favorite Social Media program I am using to organize and show postings to customers. Highly recommend!
What keeps you moving forward?
Inspiration, interest and concentration. I have an audiovisual character, meaning I am easily inspired by high quality, appealing content.
Once I gained interest (for example in photography) I am hard to stop from consuming all the information there is to get the best out of it. I am looking at you, Udemy and YouTube. But theory can be a bit overwhelming sometimes, so my learning-by-doing-game is pretty strong. In addition, I listen to a lot of music to keep me concentrated and inspired.
What do you do outside of work?
I have a wide variety of interests, but my favorite things are cooking with my better half or going out and discovering new awesome food places. I also love to scroll through Airbnb, find the best housing available and go on a trip. Getting around is so easy these days, so I like to use this opportunity. In winter I like to go snowboarding and in summer I recently discovered surfing for myself. So I should get a camper van soon, right?
